Tips for Using Past Indefinite:

✔ Past Habit or Repeated Action → He always woke up early when he was a child.

✔ Series of Past Events → She entered the room, turned on the light and sat down.

✔ If a sentence has time indicators like: ago, earlier, back, yesterday, last (night/week/year), the other day, in 2010 (specific past time) etc. → Use Simple Past.

✔ Present Perfect Tense + Point of Time = Past Indefinite Tense→ He came one minute ago.
