Guwahati, 11th November: On 10th November 2018, the Delhi Town-Guwahati Express derailed near Rangiya station around 8:00 AM, creating panic among the passengers and locals.
Six coaches of the train went off track and a few overturned. The accident resulted in major chaos, leaving several people injured. Local residents rushed to the spot and helped in the rescue operations. Emergency teams, along with railway officials, worked tirelessly to manage the situation.
Many passengers sustained minor injuries, while some were critically hurt and taken to hospitals. The railway authorities have announced compensation and ordered a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the derailment. Train services were disrupted and the incident has once again raised concerns about railway safety across the region.
