Guwahati, 6th June: Sunrise Academy, Guwahati, celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2018 with great enthusiasm to promote awareness on environmental issues.
The celebration began with a tree plantation drive in the school premises, where students planted saplings. A poster-making competition on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” saw active participation. A special morning assembly was held, featuring speeches by teachers and students highlighting the importance of environmental protection. A quiz competition was conducted to educate students on ecological issues.
The event concluded with all attendees taking a pledge to safeguard the environment. The initiative inspired students to adopt eco-friendly practices and raised awareness about the importance of living sustainably.
