Guwahati, 3rd February: ABC School organized “Tree Plantation Week” from 1st to 7th July 2019 to promote ecological awareness and afforestation. The week-long celebration included a range of inter-school competitions to involve more students and encourage environmental responsibility.
More than 300 saplings of native species were planted in and around the school campus. Events such as poster-making, essay writing and quizzes were held on themes like deforestation, climate change, and biodiversity. Noted environmentalists conducted sessions on the need to restore green cover and combat global warming.
The event created a lasting impression on students and the community. It fostered a sense of responsibility toward nature and encouraged everyone to contribute to a greener future. The week concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony to protect the environment.
